About us
Liebherr Africa is the oldest Subsidiary outside of Europe, during March 2018, Liebherr Africa celebrated it's 60th Year in South Africa, having specialized in Mining and Industry, and giving employment opportunities to in excess of 400 Employees. The Appliance Division (HAU), is one of the younger Divisions within the local office, commencing in January 2014, specializing in both Domestic and Commercial Refrigerators and Freezers. Refrigerators and Freezers for use in laboratory's and research, meet stringent requirements, especially with regard to safety and temperature consistency.
Liebherr Appliances are therefore equipped with many features to ensure optimum storage conditions for sensitive samples, critical chemicals, and research materials. Having manufactured appliances since 1954, Liebherr strive to provide the Industry with the optimum safety, essential in the laboratory and research sector, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Liebherr research and laboratory appliances, by way of a special interface converter, including the Liebherr LTM monitoring software is central to documentation of the temperature profile data and alarm events of multiple appliances via the RS485 serial interface.
